Family Activites

In the last couple of weeks, Idaho's bipolar weather has been crazy.  For the most part, this has not deterred us from doing our activities.
45 degrees and the girls wanted to have a picnic.
I recruited the girls to "help" me plant my herb garden
We planted rosemary, basil, thyme, cilantro and parsley

Our garden, it isn't much to look at.  This is actually our first time gardening.  Wish us luck for this season.
We planted, corn, carrots, peas, beans, strawberries, spinach, watermelon, cantelope, cucumbers, and butternut squash.  We already have grapes and rhubarb growing.  If you know what to do with rhubarb, let me know (other than pie?).
Jeff worked hard putting the fence up around the garden.
Addie did a great job planting the corn!
Gabrielle did a great job of looking cute by the garden! (or making faces)

Isn't it beautiful?

The girls helped dad change the oil on the truck.

We played soccer

Liesle kept getting yellow carded
or red cardded.

(You know you are not a very nice mom when you are taking a picture of your child crying.)

I'm so envious of your garden! It's going to be great, we planted a few things in planters this year, it will be fun to have fresh food from your own back yard!

Wow, I wish I had that big backyard. I could imagine all the chickens we would have. Maybe even that pot belly pig I always wanted to get. Oh well a girl can always dream.
