Celebrating Life!

My birthday came and went like any other bad day/week.  It was just one of those weeks where nothing went right.  We didn't have a single working vehicle (before we bought the truck).  I am not someone who handles being homebound very well.  I like to be out and about, active with my kids.  Someone joked that it is all downhill after turning 30.  I was feeling very much like that.

According to Dr. Oz, I now need to start using anti-aging moisturizers.  According to Dr. Bradmas 30 is when aging really begins with more fine lines and collagen and elastin start to break down, and our delicate skin under the eyes begins to thin.   Per CNN at age 30 the human body's major organs start to decline.  Doesn't that sound great?

So why even celebrate birthdays after you turn 30?  A couple weeks after my birthday I was out shopping with my friend, Kendra.  As we returned to my house, I noticed a lot of familiar cars, the girls had mentioned something about a surprise the day before.   Everything started to come together.  Sure enough, "surprise!"  I was completely overwhelmed wtih the amount of people that were there! I was a little embarrased, holding a victoria secret bag which I had forgotten about.   That started a few comments.  Jeff went through a LOT of work to put this together.  I married a good man with many great qualities.  Birthday to me is now about celebrating the life of the people you know or have known through out your life.
