What happens on a bike without a motor...

Since Jeff hasn't blogged about this incident, I will do so, in my own words. You may see some contradictary comments later from him. ;) Jeff has always loved the IDEA of biking. He started biking to work this year. It takes him 30 minutes to get there. He has mountain biked a few times in his entire life. He went this time with a friend of ours (who has mulititude of experiences).

I get a message from Jeff while I was at the park with the girls, "I broke my collarbone" it read. I was thinking, "whatever." I didn't text him back right away. He jokes often. When I called him, I still didn't believe him. Then he kept asking where he should go, the ER or Urgent Care. I realized it was the real thing. I met him at the ER, yep it was obviously broken.

Jeff is not used to being the one that has to be taken care of. He has been very stubborn but I think he loves the idea that I am his "nurse." He often says, "Helllooo Nurse!" (imitating that one cartoon...) It has been hard for him to be physically limited but he is surviving. Oh, one more thing, I thought he was a little bit on the messy side before, I had no idea how much worse it could get. But then again I am not perfect either.

We have been to one orthopaedic surgeon so far who advises to let it heal on its own. We are going to get a second opinion to be sure this is what Jeff wants to do.

I love the x-ray. I'm glad you both are surviving.

Looks painful! For some reason I thought you were with him when it happened. It makes me laugh that you thought he was joking.
