Crash of the Odyssey

I must say that these are trying times for Jeff and I. Just when it rains, it rains some more..and more... and more!

A couple of weeks ago I was involved in a 6 vehicle accident. This occured on the freeway driving from Nampa to Meridian. The driver in front of me suddenly stopped and did the same, the suburban behind me however, ran into me two times, (car behind him ran into him) causing a chain reaction to all vehicles. It was very stressful for me. My back and sides started cramping up/aching. I was thinking in the back of my head, "I better not go into labor now!" Meanwhile the girls were crying, hysterical, even more so when the tow truck got there. I really did try to be calm for them and reassure them but they wouldn't listen. They were obsessed that the tow truck was going to take them away! Everyone kept asking us if we were okay... it was a little obvious that we were having some difficulties. Later that night when we finally got home. Joelle expressed her grave concerns about the van. "What are we going to do with out the van.... Will it get fixed?" Then she later said "Jesus will help us and fix the van...he has angels that can help too!" It touched me, I love her faith!

It has been a stressful two weeks, not knowing what was going on among other things and not having my vehicle! The insurance companies were reporting that I was being cited and because of that, they wouldn't pay for the front damage. Well today we finally got the police report. I am NOT, I repeat, NOT being cited! The two vehicles behind me were. Hopefully, with the report, we will get money we need to fix up the van. We haven't decided yet if we are going to keep it or find another one.

In the mean time, I will keep praying that things will work out together for us in all other areas of our life. I also need an extra dose of sanity, being home bound does not agree with me or the girls too well. I want to say that I am EXTREMELY grateful that we were all okay, and that no one got hurt. The baby was checked out and she is thriving along. We were watched over and continue to be watched over.

When I first saw the damage (today), my frist thought was, at least the Boise State Alumni Plate Frame was undamaged. :) -Jeff

Car accidents are so scary and it's something kids remember. Lucas still remembers one from when he was 3 year old. I hope the insurance works with you!! But at least everyone is okay.

Gee Jennilynn, I heard about this but I had no idea it was so serious. I'm glad you're ok and all the girls are too. Call me if you need anything.
